After we went to dinner in downtown Riverside with another family, I thought the kids smelled kind of funny. They were playing in a hedge as we were leaving but I didn't think much of it. The smell lingered. We went to church the next morning but late Sunday night I called my friend and asked if her daughter "smelled funny too." She laughed and answered, "yeah like skunk!" We realized the kids must have been playing in a skunk's home in the bushes! Yuck. We had taken them to church smelling like that! Needless to say, they got an immediate bath. Another hour long one in the morning and another one that night. Mid-week, we're still getting the lingering scent out of Hadley's hair.
