Birthday Celebration #2

To pretty much top off Vincent's Birthday this year was to have A.Sharon come with the boys cousins for a sleepover & to watch the Angels baseball game with everyone including Gma & Gpa & A.Laura. Seriously - it does not get any better than this for him.
On Saturday we did lots more! The kids did relay races, played baseball, went swimming, blew bubbles. Pretty much a little of everything.

 

Birthday Celebration #1

We got to spend the day in Upland with Grandma & A.Molly and had birthday dinner with the Elders too!

And to top off the evening, Grandpa & U.Brig blasted off the bottle rocket several times for all of us. Vincent looooved it.

First Day of Spring Break

It is really only Hadley's Spring Break this week but I have been anxiously anticipating having her at home all day to help & play with the kids. Not to mention not having to pack any lunches or do drop-offs. The weather today was crummy though. Very overcast but no rain.

Started with a trip to Target. I love Lauren's hand wrapped around Vincent's arm. By the way - this is called Extreme Shopping! They are actually very good but I those carts are unbearably difficult to maneuver.

A trip to the mall to pick up some items and shop for Easter dresses. (I dropped the ball on that one - oh well.)

You are five! Five!? FIVE?!! Your birthday this year pretty much centers around baseball. I love how you and I finally found common ground in the mutual love of baseball. I can't wait to go to some Angels game this year with you!

What We've Been Up To

aka - my memory card is getting full . . . On my parent's anniversary all of their kids were together at the temple to do temple work for my grandma and grandpa. The oldest grand kids got to do baptisms. It was a very special day. (This is a picture of all of us except for my family)

I decided it would be exciting to forgo Gentry's nap one afternoon and take the three little kids to Hadley's classroom Spring Party.

Gentry refused to get out of Hadley's seat. Hmm, sugar high and no nap. Yeah, there was crying involved when it was time to leave. But lots of fun to help and interact in Hadley's classroom.

We also decided to take down the 60-65 foot pine tree out back as well as some other old landscaping. It was time to say goodbye to the mess but we miss the privacy, not to mention the need for new landscaping. Maybe a play set? Trampoline?

General Conference Weekend

Here is a little glimpse of what General Conference looked like this year at Grandma Tigger's house. We love going there and missed the cousins. See you in October! The kids danced to hymns sung by the Mormon Tabernacle Choir.

This is a picture of during conference while we women tended the kids, the meal, herded the livestock, gathered nuts and berries - all while taking in the speakers' counsel - pretty much sums up what the men were doing. (We love you Chris & Grandpa - thanks for not snoring.)

Finished the evening off with a birthday celebration for Grandma! Whoo hoo!

Preschool Open House

Lauren was delighted to get to go with Daddy and Vincent to his preschool Open House (while I stayed home with sick Hadley & baby Gentry).

Vincent does love his teacher but I think Lauren might like her even more!  

Dance Recital

Grandma & A.Molly came to see Hadley and Lauren's little dance recital as well as Vincent's tee-ball game. It was a fun day! I took more video than pictures. This was at the end when the kids were doing body puzzle where they get in a pose and freeze there. Hadley was very ambitious until some friends came and helped her stay in her pose. Lauren is the little one in the pink leotard and black skirt all cuddled up on the grass.
