Flashback Friday

My digital camera photos don't go very far back but this picture is special. It's a picture of Hadley and my grandma who passed away the other day. Hadley was the only one of my children who got to meet her - which makes me sad. She is almost the same age in the picture as Lauren is right now. It has been a lot of fun retelling stories and showing pictures to Hadley and Vincent about the farm and all my memories about Grandma. We will all miss her very much.

Birthday & Blessing Weekend

Vincent turned 2 on Sunday! He was a very excited birthday boy even though we had to wake him at about 8:40 am to make it to church. He loves to sleep in! We also blessed Lauren in church. It was fun to double-up the celebration with lots of family and cake.

Here's Vincent pretending to be shy when we all sang to him. He was in heaven with both Papas and Grandmas there, his cousins from Ventura, and aunts and uncles and friends.

Here's Lauren taking a nap sucking away on her thumb with pacifiers by her head. I am very excited and hope that she becomes a good napper like Vincent. Plus, I'm not sure Hadley would very readily give up her "feels."

Flashback Friday

Who knew an old paper roll and stuffed bunny could be so hilarious? Hadley laughed forever.

"Just turn the handle!"

I knew there was a reason I started this blog this week! It was inevitable that one of the kids would lock themselves in the bathroom b/c they like playing with the push-lock on the door. Vincent won. He wasn't terribly upset but everytime I would tell him to "just turn the handle" he'd shout back "no". What's funny is we know he knows how to open doors so we can't figure out why he didn't just do it. Thankfully Chris was almost home from work. After busting the huge garden clippers and the doorknob itself, suffice it to say the door will never be locked again!

Not as many tears as I would have expected. He's holding a glow stick that Hadley had the bright idea to send under the door since it was dark in there.

More broccoli please!

Seriously, who is this child? This morning, all Hadley wanted was "broccoli and carrots in a bowl please!" Then she saw the cherry tomatos and asked for some of them too.
