The month of July

For the Fourth of July we went with A. Molly to downtown Disney for breakfast and browsed the fun shops. We were tempted to go into Disneyland and renew our season passes but were told it was going to be very busy and was already hot! We can't wait until the end of August to go again.

After Disney, we went to Upland but left before the fireworks We squeezed lemons for my mom for lemonade and learned Vincent loves to suck on raw lemons!
Mid-month we got to see Kali and Devor visiting from Philly and Betsy and Brett were here with Cameron and Carolyn. The kids all enjoyed playing for a few hours. Carolyn enjoyed holding Lauren while the rest played - such a mommy.
I finally got my chubby baby! Lauren is by far my chubbiest baby even though she is pretty average on all the charts. I've always wanted a chubby baby though and I love these pictures because they make her look the chubbiest.
Love the rolls!Aunt Molly spent an evening with the girls while Vincent and I went and met daddy coming home from San Francisco. This is Lauren sucking on Hadley's thumb while they were reading books.

Happy Father's Day (a little late)

Hadley and Vincent singing "Daddy's Homecoming" b/c that is what they were singing or sang in church (I don't remember if this was before or after church but I do know that Vincent wore pants to church). Vincent practiced the song so much that when the primary children went up to sing he insisted on going too. Hadley kindly took her brother up there and walked him back afterwards. It was very cute!

Things to watch for:

1) Hadley's moves on the phrase "glad as I can be" (worth watching again for)

2) The delayed motions by Vincent. He gets clap, neck, pat, at cheeks throughout the entire song.

Pointless Pictures of Peanuts and Pea Soup

I guess this is why you shouldn't eat peanuts on the couch.

Does this count as vegetables? Vincent takes after his daddy and LOVES this pea soup. I, on the other hand have serious dry heaves when I make it. Doesn't it look appetizing? I love the can rings - mmmmm! This was his dinner, just heat and serve. 

Pool Party

Since it is almost officially summertime we decided to have an impromtu water-play-day in the backyard with friends. It was so much fun that I think we just might have to do it on a regular basis!

Favorite Things

One of the advantages of having a husband who has to work on the weekends sometimes is that we get to go Grandma and Grandpa's house. The kids always have a great time there.

Taking a nap in A. Molly's bed & picking blackberries with Papa. I didn't get any pictures in the garden with the new bubbler grandpa installed - big time hit! Thanks for always hosting us Grandma and Grandpa!

Swinging Style

All of my kids have had their own style for swinging. Hadley crooked her neck into a 90 degree angle. Vincent would just cry. This is Lauren's style.

I promise she usually sucks her thumb. I guess this was just easier than trying to find it again!

Chris's Beloved Boat

Whenever summertime comes it makes me think of our old boat. I think when Chris sees other boats he gets a little teary eyed :). He loved this boat SO MUCH I used to tease him that he loved it more than me. It is cute how his eyes always light up when he sees one and then he'll reminisce.

It makes me sad some days to think that we sold it. It was an awesome boat (when it worked) and maybe someday we'll have another one with teakwood rails and gold shag carpet. Maybe?
