Girls Nite

For Father's & Sons camp out this year Chris forgot the camera -- so I took my own pictures. What's that you say? That is the best picture you had? Well, yes. Nothing beats a shirtless one year-old having her ticklish nails painted. Molly & I had grand plans of watching Anne Of Green Gables with the girls and doing nails, etc. We found ourselves more wrapped up in the movie, remembering how good it was, how cute Gilbert Blythe is, etc. The girls need a few years until we try that again.

Temple Trip

We met Grandma & Grandpa at the Los Angeles Temple for their ward's missionary tour. A.Lorina & Uncle Brookie came too! The kids had a wonderful time. We enjoyed a brief, but chilly, tour of the grounds by sister missionaries where the kids really got to be interactive. Followed by a program inside the new visitors center. It was a lot of fun and the kids have begged to go back ever since. Right where mommy & daddy came out almost 10 years ago!
The kids were so reverent & attentive during the program. Never mind Gentry's fish-lips. She couldn't get enough of the Christus statue and didn't want to leave it when the evening was over. What a new fond memory I have now of the LA Temple.

OVERHEARD

HADLEY: Mommy can I tell you something I learned in school today that I'm really upset about?
ME: (calmly) Sure what is it? (inside: freaking out ?!?!)
HADLEY: Butter is an 'extra'.

Apparently since it is nutrition week & they've been learning about the food pyramid, blah blah blah - she was seriously bummed to learn that butter wasn't good for you - like cookies. I wish I could capture her serious tone when she said 'butter is an extra'. Not to mention the relief I had that that was it.

Little League Grandparent's Day

Grandparent's Day was a lot of fun. Thanks for coming Gma & Gpa Tigger and Uncle Brookie!

Mother's Day

It was Mother's Day. You can mostly only tell b/c I am in a lot of pictures with my kids.

For a late b-day gift for Vincent & and early Mother's day gift for me Chris took us to an Angels game. We were right on the field which was awesome. Too bad it was on right field and there was barely any action there that night.

Sunday morning shot before church. The kids presented me with cute matchbox locket necklaces (which I forgot to wear for the picture) and Chris gave me some more landscaping a la Roberto.

Kid Games

You know those times when you're home but you haven't seen any of the four kids for almost an hour? I found them all in my shower with every pillow and blanket in the house - having a great time!
