Together With Cousins

We had a fun visit from our Arizona cousins as well as Cameron & Carolyn last week. The kids had a great time playing and Lauren LOVED all the attention she got.

Kyle pushed Lauren around on this train many many many times.

Don't worry, according to Vincent he wasn't tired, he just died from the sword fighting.

Kyle was a great 'older cousin' who entertained the little ones with duck duck goose and a myriad of other win/lose games - it's never too early to learn how to be a good sport! (We heard things like: "Cameron step forward. You are not the winner . . .")

Also, you know your son needs a brother when you ask him why he's doing 'knuckles' to the refrigerator door and he says, "Cause hims a friend." Ummmm . . . okay.

We just love to hear the way Vincent pronounces "girl".

P.S. I'm not sure why he thinks Lauren is a boy though. I guess I should start putting more bows in her hair.

Girl's Nite Out

Every once in a while the stars align and the two younger ones are in bed extra early and Chris comes home before Hadley's bedtime. Last weekend we got to go on a Girls Nite Out. First we went to the craft store where Hadley saw all the Easter things on display - she was in heaven (the girl loves little chickies and eggs) Then we went to Coldstone Ice Cream for some mint ice cream and an Oreo shake. It is so fun to spend one-on-one time w/Hadley. She just loves to sit and talk and we had some great conversations about starting school, dressing modestly, talking to strangers and why there are animals on the earth.

A Kiss From Shamu

This year for Valentine's day Chris surprised me with a great treat for the whole family to go to Sea World. It was a double surprise b/c I thought he had to work and he didn't check his blackberry once the whole day! It was a perfect day, while a little chilly and a bit too filled with 'marine education' (my heart still belongs to Disneyland).

P.S. Thank you Chris for knowing what would make me most happy was sharing the day with the whole family sans blackberry.

Happy 1st Birthday Lauren

Happy 1st Birthday Lor Lor! A year ago today you came to us even though you were scheduled for Valentine's Day (we put it off a day due to my bad cold). You were very sweet and your dimples on both cheeks showed immediately-I wish I had a picture of them.

Lauren is a sweet baby who smiles easily. Her favorite hobbies thus far are climbing, eating, climbing, clapping, and did I mention climbing? She adores her older brother and likes playing with her big sister. She is happy to see her daddy when he comes home from work or gets her in the morning but she still prefers mommy. She has 6 and 1/2 teeth. She gets a kick out of responding with 'da da' whenever asked to say 'ma ma'. She also likes her blankie and thumb - although she prefers her brother's blankie and is becoming partial to pacifiers.



We celebrated a little on Friday nite w/Gma & Gpa Tigger and U.Brookie & A.Lorina. Lauren loved the cake.

Visit With Angela

A couple weeks ago the kids and I went to visit one my dearest friends and her three cute boys. Angela and I met when our husbands were at UCLA and we were both law-school widows. We walked together when we were both pregnant and have two children born within months of each other. We had tons of fun playing and catching up since we don't see each other very often.


I of course forgot my camera but Angela was kind enough to snap a few photos right before we left.
