Fourth of July Weekend

We started off the weekend with overnight stays from cousins Cameron & Carolyn and lots of

playing.

The boys especially loved playing on their scooters and the, ahem, dress-up clothes.

Lauren got her fill of attention from the Sawyer boys as well as 'Slippery Fish'.

Can Your Four-Year Old Do This?

I'm always looking for ways for my four and three year olds to step it up a notch & really contribute. J/k I was joking when I asked Hadley to do this but she went for it.

I love how well Lauren participates for her older sister compared to when I change her. Also, having Vincent give the play-by-play in the background.

Question: How many of you moms cringed at the 'front to back' portion?

Papa fixed his little wooden toy horse from when he was a boy for Lauren who loooooves to 'rock out' on it.

Chris took the two older kids to their first Angels baseball game and met their uncles, cousins & gma/gpa Tigger.

Happy Father's Day!

Apparently our family tradition is to perform Daddy's Homecoming on the fireplace (see last year) for Father's Day.

Things to look for:

1) Panty flash right at the onset - just to get every one's attention.

2) Love, love, love the delayed actions of Lauren.

3) Lauren gearing up for the grand finale.

Bonus footage: this is for those of you who don't get to witness on a regular basis how quickly Vincent's personality can change. Even Lauren is confused, then empathetic, then just ignores him.

I do love the way Vincent refers to Hadley as 'Had'.

P.S. My kids inherit their tone-deafness from me.

Daddy-Daughter-Date

Last night Chris got to take Hadley out for an impromptu Daddy-Daughter-Date. There were other plans but Vincent crashed before 6:30pm for the night and I was tired from the battle. They went to Ruby's to have a Strawberry shake with whipped cream and a cherry on top - a treat Hadley eyed last time we were there and said she wanted to come back for sometime.

We are so lucky to have precious, sweet, kind little Hadley in our lives and I am grateful for a husband who tries to find the time to spend one-on-one time with the kids.
