Wow, after trying to upload this for the last several months - here is the traditional singing of "I'm So Glad When Daddy Comes Home". Note: I pretty much neglected to prepare the kids for this and haven't even really taught it to Gentry. Even though I prefer the performance to be natural and true to form, this was the second take on it because none of them really even knew what the song was the first time around. We will be prepared next year!

St. Patricks Day
St. Patrick's day was on a Saturday and it was very stormy - by So. Cal standards. The kids were stuck inside with a poor mommy who had been waiting for daddy to come home from a 4-day ski trip in Vail for business.
At the last minute I got in the spirit of St. Patty's day and did a scavenger hunt and had Irish shakes from McDonalds and daddy at the end. (I won't tell you what they were more excited about.)

Jump-o-rama
Because I have fond memories of endless bed-jumping sessions as a kid with my siblings we have always had an open policy on jumping on the beds - anyone can jump on any bed as long as you take your shoes off (mom and dad's bed is the only one off-limits). I've thought about putting an age cap but can't really bring myself to it.
Plus, I would hate to miss moments like this. Reminds of a quote I came across a while back:
“The laughter of girls is and ever was among the delightful sounds on the earth.” ― Dequincey

OVERHEARD
This was a real conversation I had with Lauren this evening. Everything said was serious.
LAUREN: What's for dinner?
ME: Chicken pot pie.
LAUREN: Aww, I was hoping it was not chicken pot pie.
ME: (Frustrated) Name me three things you would eat for dinner.
LAUREN: (Thinks for a moment.) Wait . . . not candy?
