Fathers and Sons . . . or not

The day before the Fathers and Sons Camp out Vincent spiked a high fever & the flu. He was really bummed. Chris decided to drive up to the campsite later the next evening just for the campfire portion - Vincent looks good in the picture b/c was heavily medicated.

Unfortunately Gentry came down with the same thing but luckily Aunt Molly was here to try & salvage a little 'girls night' by painting nails and popcorn.

A 'Tale' About Hadley

We checked out the following book from the library:

After reading the book Hadley drew pictures of all kinds of animal tails.
I know it is kinda a hard picture to see. When she was done she asked me to label all the animal tails she drew. If you look really closely at the last one you'll see that it is, what else would a kindergartner learning coins draw but, a PENNY - tails side up.

Gentry Climbs

Gentry has been crawling for a couple of months now and while she still can't actually sit up on her own, climbing is her new favorite thing to do.

Happy 4th Birthday Vincent!

We celebrated his birthday last weekend with Gma & Gpa Tigger and A.Molly. Vincent got Hungry Hungry Hippos and an RC Hummer Car that he is working on mastering.

• He wants to be a Baseball Player when he grows up.
• He cannot wait to start school like his sister Hadley.
• He loves sports of any kind.
• He loves to make/do crafts of any kind.

 Wow, we made it four years!

Vincent is an adorably cute little boy who tries my patience. Anyone who was around him as a baby knows that he was not a very easy baby. I often referred to him as a 'tormented soul'. Fortunately, when I look back at old photos of him, I barely remember the challenges. And yet he can be so incredibly sweet and kind to me and his sisters. Others often tell me what a sweet, easy-going kid he is and I am thankful for those moments. I can't wait to continue to watch him grow!

March Haps

Chris & I started planting an orchard. We planted an avocado, peach, mandarin (?) & pomegranate trees. There is already an orange & apple tree (or so the gardener tells us). Vincent just likes to play with the garden hose and get wet. Here is how I found him b/c he was cold.
Mom and Vincent got to spend an entire day at Disneyland! They are the only ones with valid passes until his birthday in April. This pic was before they left and we were trying not to let Lauren know where they were going - his hat isn't too subtle is it?

Stair Slide

When Grandma comes it is time for serious . . . serious FUN that is!

How many of us have a grandma who will willingly push us down the stairs. In a box. Decorated with crayon. Over and over.

(This was so funny! At first Sylva and I hesitated when we saw Vincent trying to do this but then we decided it might work. We busted up laughing so hard - the first run was the best one but I didn't have my camera. Wow am I glad my mother-in-law raised four boys with no serious injuries. The kids had a blast.)
